Atttendee Checklist

Dear AD17 conference attendee,

 

Thank you for registering for the 17th World Conference on Anaerobic Digestion; we are very excited to see you in Ann Arbor in less than 7 days! To aid in your preparation for the conference, we have provided a checklist for you to ensure a smooth visit. Please read through the list carefully, and contact ad17iwa@gmail.com should you have any questions or concerns.

 

Covid-19 Health, Safety & Code of Conduct

  • By attending AD17, you are agreeing to abide by the conference’s code of conduct and Covid-19 health & safety policies. Be sure to carefully read through these regulations on our website.

  • All AD17 attendees medically eligible need to be fully vaccinated by June 3, 2022, 14 days before the start of the conference. All attendees should have provided proof of vaccination during registration using this form. If you have not yet provided proof of vaccination, please do so now. You will not be able to attend the conference without this information.

  • Please also carry proof of vaccination (a digital copy on your phone or a printed copy) at all times during the conference as it may be needed to enter some of the conference buildings.

  • We encourage you to perform a rapid antigen test after you arrive in Ann Arbor and before you attend the conference. You can purchase rapid antigen tests at local pharmacies (e.g. Walgreens, 317 S State St, Ann Arbor).

 

All attendees

  • Don’t forget to book accommodations for your stay in Ann Arbor, if you have not already done so.

  • Reference the updated program found on our website (PDF attached) to see the time and location of workshops and presentations you wish to attend.

  • For those interested in social and networking opportunities, social events will take place throughout the conference. Please reference the Social Events tab on the conference website for updated schedules.

  • Online Conference Proceedings will be available as a downloadable pdf file for all registered delegates approximately one week after the conference.

  • Be sure to download the conference app to stay up to date with conference proceedings throughout the week! See the next section for more details:

 

Conference app

  • An online conference app is available through Whova and can be accessed through a web browser or smartphone app. 

  • To access the smartphone app: 

    • Download the Whova app from the apple app store or google play store, sign up for a whova account, search for the “International Water Association 17th World Conference on Anaerobic Digestion” event, and then use the code IWAAD17JOIN to join. 

  • To access the app through a web browser: 

 

Presenters

  • Reference the updated program found on our website (PDF attached) to check your presentation time and location.

  • Reference our Presentation Guidelines tab on the website for instructions and templates for oral and poster presentations.

  • Keynote presenters, please check your email for the dropbox in which to upload your powerpoint presentation. Please do so by 17h Michigan time (EDT) on June 19th, 2022.

  • For those giving oral presentations, please check your email for the dropbox in which to upload your powerpoint presentation. Please do so by 17h Michigan time (EDT) on June 19th, 2022.

  • Should you need to make any changes to your presentation after June 19th, our designated Speaker Ready Room [Michigan Union Room 2210 A,B,C] will be available for all presenters giving keynote and oral presentations on Monday: 9:00 - 16:00, Tuesday: 9:00 - 16:00 and Wednesday: 7:30 - 13:00.

  • Conference proceedings will contain all abstracts that were submitted and accepted to be part of the conference program. The proceedings will be available as a downloadable pdf file for all registered delegates, approximately one week after the conference. Should you wish to make revisions to your abstract for the conference proceedings, please upload your revised abstract using this form, by June 24th, 2022.

  • If you prefer to not include your abstract in the proceedings, please fill out the following form. In that case, only the names of all co-authors, their affiliations, and title of the presentation will be listed.
